Managing a website: the admin side and public side should be ‘sisters’ and not ‘distant cousins’
This drawing shows how Bridge's design makes it quicker to administer your online business. Other platforms like Shopify have two 'sides': a back-end that clients use to manage their site and a front-end that shoppers experience. Bridge takes a different approach: we try to make the front-end and the back-end very similar. We believe they should look similar to make the experience consistent and easy to navigate. When a member is logged in as an administrator, we output edit links where needed.
If you wish to make a change on Shopify, it's tedious. The steps include:
View product in back-end tool.
Make the desired change.
Save.
Visit the public side.
Find the product.
Confirm changes are made.
To make more changes, return to the back-end tool.
Find where you left off.
In Bridge, the steps are:
View product on the public side.
Make the desired change.
Save. The page will refresh and show your changes.
Confirm changes are made.
Continue where you left off.
It's inherently easier to learn and navigate one interface vs two.
